Ongoing and current projects

Zimbabwe lies in ruins with her people scattered ‘like sheep without a shepherd’. The work is great and we cannot do it alone.
We have several projects that need your help. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us and contact us today.

Fountain of Hope

fountainOn the fringe of Bulawayo lies an area called Hope Fountain. Uncle Bob and Aunty Sheila (RCM pensioners) found themselves drawn into caring for needy folk in this area and with extremely limited resources made some food and household goods available to the needy who came to their door. Thus was birthed the project later named Fountain of Hope. Jesus said that those who drank of Him would experience a fountain of living water rise from within them. The Fountain of Hope ministry project was thereafter embraced by the church and is now an ongoing care ministry.

Once a week a meeting is held at each of two homesteads. After a time of praise and worship the Word is preached and thereafter those in attendance are given food, soap or whatever items are available.

Of the approximately 150 adults we minister to, more than 90% are over the age of 60. Aids has severely impacted this area and most of the 150 children we care for have lost either one or both parents to this disease. The Apostle James instructs that the care of widows and orphans is the mandate of the church and by God’s grace and with His help we have for the past 8 years ministered in spiritual and practical ways to the people in this area. If you know that this is a project you can be involved in, contact us.

Recording and Computer Equipmentsound

Digital recording and playback equipment are needed to record all the meetings so that they may be made accessible to you! We also require two computers for the administration as well as two laptops for the data projector and recording.

Thank you for partnering with us. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers especially through this difficult time.

The Family Centre

family

We have outgrown our current facilities and are currently planning to construct a Family Centre. This comprises a 20m square concrete based facility supported by pillars and open on the sides. It will provide additional space for the youth, dance and banner team, bible-studies as well as a covered shelter under which teas and refreshments can be served after the services. A fully fitted kitchen will be incorporated in addition to a serving hatch. This will not only enhance the current layout but also provide opportunity to modify the car park and do some additional landscaping.

We will be looking for a large initial inflow as well as a project coordinator. Please stand with us in prayer.

The Storehouse (desperate need!)store

The Storehouse exits to meet the physical and financial needs of members within the congregation. The economic situation within our country has made living difficult with many folk unable to afford a single meal daily. Applications for assistance range from payment of school fees and uniforms to rent and medicine although the bulk of it remains food and clothing.

The Storehouse is managed and administered by a committee of dedicated individuals who have the unenviable task of wading through the applications trying to match available finances to the most immediate needs. Your contributions are all received and acknowledged.

Running Costs

Without meeting our running costs the work cannot continue. It is difficult to explain how basic foodstuffs are simply not available and when they are the prices increase on an hourly basis. As I write the cost of a loaf of bread is currently in the BILLIONS of dollars and the entire staff wage bill for a compliment of 7, including the senior pastor totals less than US$20 a month! Our biggest expenditure is in fuel, medical aid and school fees. Your contribution does make a difference.
